Towpath Park Closure

TOWPATH PARK IS CLOSED FROM MAY 12, 2025 THROUGH MID-OCTOBER 2025 FOR CONSTRUCTION. ACCESS TO THE SCHUYLKILL RIVER TRAIL CAN BE MADE AT THE FRICKS LOCK AND PARKER FORD TRAIL HEADS. 

Towpath Park Phase 1 Improvement Project is currently underway and is expected to the completed in October 2025. The improvements include a new parking lot, playground, trail system, and associated stormwater management. This work is being funded through various grants and donations secured by the Township. We are Hiring for a Finance Director

The Township is seeking an experienced municipal finance/accounting professional to lead its financial management and human resource functions. The Township operates with an annual budget of approximately $16.5 million and has 17 full-time staff.
In pursuit of excellence and carrying on the legacy of the retiring Finance Director, the Township seeks an individual who values integrity, stewardship, responsiveness, respect, transparency, and partnership. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible financial governmental management experience with modified cash basis accounting. Click here for full job description.
